Dennis H. Barnette

Dennis H. Barnette, age 72 of Fairborn passed away April 8, 2022.  He was born August 29, 1949 in Lee County, Virginia, the son of the late Leonard and Maude (Fritz) Barnette.  He served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Army.  Dennis was a member of the Fairborn VFW Post 686; and enjoyed fishing, baseball and football.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Denny; and brother, Larry Barnette.  Dennis is survived by his wife, Marta; step-children, Janette (Todd) Sullivan, Michelle Cason, Scott (Shelley) Bailey, Jason (Jennifer) Daniels; sister, Joyce King, David (Patty) Barnette; grandchildren, Todd Jr., Paige, Ronnie, Chrissy, Abigail, Bubby; great-grandson, Billy; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 13, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow at Byron Cemetery.
