Dorothy Mae Moore

Dorothy M. Moore, age 86, of Fairborn, passed away Saturday, June 19th, 2021. She was born May 20, 1935 in Camden, Tennessee to the late William and Mae (Moore) Hatley. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Colonel (Ret) Ernest "Frank" Moore; brothers, Warren G. Hatley and Orland “Red” Hatley. Dorothy is survived by her children, Valerie Smith and Frank (Lori) Moore; grandchildren, Calla, Holly, Kira, and Lia; brother, Charles C. Hatley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother who always made time for a kind word and good food. Throughout her life, she dreamed of seeing the world, so she spent her later years traveling with her beloved husband and children. Dorothy was a kind soul who always sent cards and gifts on every special day to everyone she knew. She supported their hopes, their dreams, and their future. Dorothy spent her later years peacefully, surrounded by cherished friends and family. A service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia where she will be laid rest by her husband.
