Ellis R. York

Ellis R. York, age 81 of Fairborn, passed away March 11, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by his loving family.  He was born October 6, 1941 in Polaski Co., Missouri, the son of the late Virgil Ellis and Orlena (Hill) York.  Ellis was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed woodworking.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Violet McKinnon.  Ellis is survived by his loving wife, Lorene; two sons, Steve (Darlene) York, Stan (Wendy) York; three grandchildren, Kyle York, Kerry York, John Murray; four great-grandsons, Wyatt, Camrin, Carter, Chase; two brothers, Dallas (Linda) York, Lyndal (Peggy) York; as well as extended family and friends.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 16, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Lowell Lay officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery.
