G. Peter "Pete" Flick

G. Peter “Pete” Flick, age 86, of Fairborn, passed away on March 13, 2023, in the comfort of his home. He was born December 4, 1936, in Oswego, NY, the son of the late Charles P. Flick and Helen C. (Driscoll) Flick.

After completing high school, Pete earned a bachelor’s degree from Le Moyne College in DeWitt, NY. He furthered his education by obtaining a master’s degree from the University of Dayton. For most of his career in civil service, Pete worked as an employee/management relations specialist at WPAFB. Pete was well known for his love of sports. He enjoyed watching football and basketball but especially loved baseball and watching the Cincinnati Reds. Pete was most happy in the presence of family and friends and enjoyed playing golf as a member of Twin Base Golf Club. In addition, Pete belonged to Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fairborn, for more than 50 years.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Flick, and his loving wife, Helen (Bellardine) Flick. He is survived by his children, Pete Flick; Sue (Rick) Darding; Christine (Scott) Myers; Matthew (April) Flick; grandchildren, Ryan; Alex; Justin (Amanda); Casey; Lauren; Allison; Keith; Jordan; Liam; siblings, John (Carol) Flick; Anne (Paul) O’Connor; Charlene Pease; Kathy (Ron) Bowman; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Deacon Max Roadruck, officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. until the time of service. Burial, including graveside rites, to follow at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn.
