Harold R. Cornett

Harold R. Cornett, age 79 of Beavercreek, passed away Friday October 4, 2019 surrounded by his family.  He was born January 20, 1940 in Whitesburg, Kentucky, the son of the late William Curtis and Thelma Ruth (Hughes) Cornett.  Harold was retired from Rieck’s Mechanical as a heating and air technician; enjoyed painting and had a passion for racing homing pigeons.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Iva; son, Harold D. (Stephanie) Cornett; daughter, Lavonda Chandler; four grandchildren, Harold M. (Taryn) Cornett, Shelby Cornett, Cole Chandler, Bailey Chandler; and two great-grandsons, Noah Michael Cornett an Greyson Landon Cornett.  A Celebration of Life with military honors will be held on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
