Hazel E. King

Hazel E. “Foxy” King, age 73 of Fairborn, formerly of Dayton, passed away Tuesday April 18, 2023 at the Dayspring of Miami Valley.  She was born November 7, 1949 in Champaign, IL, the daughter of the late Robert and Marjory (Baker) Penman. 

Hazel was an avid bowler and had bowled a 300 game.  She loved her family and will be missed by all of those that loved and knew her. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Chuck Penman; husband, Carl King; and brother, Thomas Edward Penman.  Survivors include a son, Rick Smith (Liberty Combs) of Fairborn and children, Ethan, Alana, Ariana, and Ricki Smith; a daughter, Penny Penman and her son, Josh; a great-granddaughter, Layla; three sisters, Ruth Fisher, Sue Penman, Sandra Simmons; a brother, Robert Morris Penman; cousin, Jim Middleton; as well as other extended family. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday May 1, 2023 at 1:30 P.M. at the Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.
