Ira Slone Obituary

Ira " Wendell" Slone, age 78 of Fairborn, passed away June 30, 2019. He was born November 26, 1940 in Hindman, Kentucky, the son of the late Canton and Mary Alice (Reynolds) Slone. He was employed by Chrysler, retiring after 30 years of service. Wendell enjoyed Bluegrass music; playing mandolin; and was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sibling twins, Phyllis and Phillip. Wendell is survived by his wife of 58 years, Erma; three children, Denise (Rod) Campbell, Duane (Sharon) Slone, Billy Slone (Angie); eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Slone, Betty Amburgey; a brother, Donny Slone; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A private service will be held by the family.
