James W. Elliott

James W. Elliott, age 86 of Fairborn passed away Saturday November 6, 2021.  He was born March 12, 1935 in Morgan Co., Kentucky, the son of the late Sam and Lou (Cassity) Elliott.  He was retired from the City of Fairborn as a heavy equipment operator, retiring after 30 years of service.  James was a member of the Faith Hill Church of God; and enjoyed fishing; the outdoors; and spending time with family and friends.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; five siblings, Lorine Moore, Hester Moore-Caskey, Henry Elliott, Sammy Elliott and Christine O’Neal.  James is survived by three children, Judy (Gary) Adkins, Teresa (Andy) Craft, Mark (Kristen) Elliott; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Brad) Secrest, Kelly (Terry) Blakley, Tricia (Kevin) Roberts, Traci (Danny) Lay, Tress (Ryan) Richey, Taylor Stinson, Aaron (Candace) Elliott; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Rebha Ison; as well as step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. The family will receive friends on Thursday November 11, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the First Church of God Tabernacle, 1635 Montgomery Ave, Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Friday November 12, 2021 at 11:30 A.M., Pastors Steve Wagoner and Lowell Lay officiating. Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hill Church of God in his memory.  The family requests mask if attending the above services.
