James P. Henderson

James Paul Henderson, age 58, of Centerville, OH passed away on January 24, 2023. He was a beloved, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

The son of Carol and John Henderson, James was born October 4, 1964. James attended and graduated from Fairborn city schools where he met his high school sweethearts—and future wife. They were married for 33 years. James graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering. He then continued his education receiving his master’s in 2014 at the University of Dayton. James worked at WPAFB in the F-15 office.

James enjoyed being a father and grandfather. James had many interests and hobbies, but most notable was being a die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan—Go Bengals! James enjoyed traveling, especially with his family. Most notable trips were trips taken to Lake Erie and Canada. James enjoyed craft breweries and grilling out at home. He was an animal lover and cherished taking his dog Shane on walks. James’s favorite past-time was anything he did with his sons.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Carol; his nephew, John; and his grandson, Jackson. James is survived by his wife, Lisa; three sons, Robert (Rebecca); Bradley (Chelsea); Jacob (Louisa); three grandchildren, Eleanor; Cole; and Abigail; father, John; two brothers, Mark (Tracy); David Henderson; two nieces, Courtney; Meredith; three nephews, Adam; Alex; Michael; great-nieces, Lola; Sophia; mother-in-law, Loretta; sister-in-law, Lorrie (Brian) and their children, Justin; Dylan; Emily.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.
