Jane Elizabeth (Buschemeyer) Perrin

Jane Elizabeth (Buschemeyer) Perrin, age 80 of Fairborn, passed away Thursday April 18, 2024 at the Preserve of Beavercreek.  She was born February 15, 1944 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Frederick Julius and Elizabeth Jane (Burdett) Buschemeyer.  

Jane grew up in Fairborn on Hawthorne Drive with her brother, Fred Jr. and her sister, Patty.  Her father was a teacher/coach/principal but that didn’t keep her from enjoying her school years.  She was a proud graduate of Fairborn High School, Class of 1962, and for years worked tirelessly on numerous gatherings of her classmates to celebrate class reunions.  Jane attended Miami University and was employed by NCR Corporation, famously retiring after over 40 years of service.  

Jane was married to her partner in crime and love of her life, Larry Perrin, until his death in 2017.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Buschemeyer, Jr. (FHS 57).  Survivors include two sons, Scott (FHS 93) and Michael (FHS 96); grandson, Aiden; sister, Patty (FHS 71) and her husband Lou (FHS 71) Geiger; a stepsister, Jill Engle; as well as her loving nieces and cousins.

In their retirement years, Jane and Larry enjoyed boating on Grand Lake St. Mary’s, going on several cruises with friends, and traveling to Wakomata Lake in Ontario.  Jane was a dog lover, especially her Shelties, so memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA or the Alzheimer’s Association.  

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 23, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service.  Jane will be inurned with her husband at Ferncliff Cemetery in Springfield at a later date.
