Judith Pauline Lovejoy

Judith Pauline “Judy” Lovejoy, age 69 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday May 7, 2022 at the Soin Medical Center.  She was born January 27, 1953 in Pensacola, FL, the daughter of Patrick and Velma (Szabo) Hobbs.  

Judy was a longtime member of Mary, Help of Christians Parish in Fairborn and sang in the choir for many years.  She was employed with the University of Dayton Research Institute, retiring earlier this year; and was currently enjoying doing some house renovations and spending time with her family. 

Preceded in death by her father, Patrick Hobbs; in-laws, Arbin “Sonny” and Lena Horn; and her former husband and father of her sons, Tim Lovejoy.  Survivors include her sons, Adam Lovejoy of Fairborn, Jacob (Tina) Lovejoy of Fairborn; grandchildren, Nate, Shane, Holly, Nicholas, Courtney; her mother, Velma Hobbs; two sisters, Teresa Hobbs (Ray Dysas), Patricia (Duke) Dillmore; a brother, Joseph (Diana) Hobbs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 18, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday May 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M., Deacon Max Roadruck officiating.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
