Katharina Akers

Katharina Akers, age 88 of Dayton passed away March 3, 2023.  She was born September 22, 1934 in Hungary, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Wald.  Katharina was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church; and enjoyed spending time with her family.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; two sons, Johnny, Charles Allen; and nine siblings.  Katharina is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Stephen) DuBois; son, Tommy (Kathy) Akers; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Eric (Melissa), Katie, Nicole, Erin, Jessica (Javier), Emily (Jody); five great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Byron Cemetery, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.
