Kenneth R. “Ken” Kilburn, age 60 of Xenia, passed away Wednesday November 3, 2021 at the Kettering Medical Center. He was born October 20, 1961 in Dayton, the son of Gordon and Larlie (Brown) Kilburn.
Ken was employed as produce manager for Kroger for 20 plus years, and for the past 9 years as support manager for Rural King in Xenia. He considered many of his past and current co-workers as family and he appreciated and cared for them all.
An avid outdoorsman, he belonged to the Greene County Fish and Game and he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He also loved to cook, was a devoted gardener, and enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog, Daisy Mae.
Preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Rev. Gordon and Darlene Kilburn; his sister, Connie (Roger) Brown; niece, Amanda (Allen) Hollon; nephews, Bryon (Marni) Stacy, Brandon (Brittanie) Stacy, Bradley Stacy; six great-nieces and three great-nephews that he absolutely adored; two stepsisters, Darlinda (Kenneth) Brown; Lisa Doty; stepbrother, Timothy Brewer; close friend, Vickie Price; as well as numerous other extended family and many friends and co-workers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday November 11, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A funeral service will be held on Friday November 12, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the International Faith Church, 20 South Drive, Fairborn, Pastor Elzie Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
