Laor Getman

Laor Getman, age 78 of Fairborn, passed away on May 24, 2022. She was born January 22, 1944 in Korat, Thailand. She became a citizen of the United States in 1985. She was a member of Abiding Christ Lutheran Church for over 30 years and enjoyed quilting, helping with the church bazaar, and volunteering in the kitchen. She also participated and enjoyed being in the Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, David Getman, both of her parents and a brother. Her survivors include her daughters, Belinda Lykins and Christine Filbrun; three grandchildren, Aaron, Hannah, and Emily; three brothers, a sister, and several nieces and nephews in Thailand; as well as many friends.
 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 9, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Abiding Christ Lutheran Church, 326 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastors Craig Fourman and June Fryman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church, with lunch to follow. Inurnment will be held privately by the family at Byron Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Abiding Christ Lutheran Church.  Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
