Laura Combs

Laura Combs, age 88, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away December 19, 2020. She was born August 23, 1932 in Knott County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Alonzo and Martha Sumner. Along with her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor Singleton and Mable Owens. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, John Combs; son, Palmer Combs; daughters, Darlene (Howard) Longworth and Carol (Robert) Kissel; grandchildren, Aron J. Combs, Shellie (Jason) Shock, Laura (Michael) Reinsch, Sara (Jerod) Nelson; and numerous great-grandchildren. Laura loved to cook, make ceramics, and paint. What Laura loved most was to spend time with her beloved husband and family. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn. A service will follow at 12 PM. Burial will then follow at Byron Cemetery.
