Linda Koning Obituary

Linda Lee Koning, age 84 of Fairborn, passed away August 18, 2020. She was born September 9, 1935 in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of the late Lee and Aloise (Glossinger) Fortenbacher. Linda was a graduate of St. Luke’s In Chicago, obtaining her nursing degree; retiring from Southview hospital after many years of service. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting; cross stitching, knitting and spending time with family. Linda and Al traveled the world together during their time in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. “Al” Koning; and sister, Mary Snedden. Linda is survived by two daughters, Karen (Brian) Hobson, Ann (Chet) Adkins; ten grandchildren, Kathleen (Jack) Miller, Nicholas (Heather) Harvey, Kyle Campbell (Fonda), Abby (Joe) Buchholz, Emily (Tristen) Wolfe, Rafael Toro, Brian (Veronica) Hobson, Tiffany (Patrick) Todd, Carter Adkins, Paul Jr. (Jenny) Adkins, twenty-five great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Annie) Fortenbacher, Michael Fortenbacher; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. Private services will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers please donate to a .charity of your choice in her name.
