Linda Sue Miles, age 72 of Fairborn, passed away peacefully Friday January 14, 2022 at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 1, 1949 in San Bernardino, CA, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Martha (Browne) McGowan.
Linda was a 41-year devoted employee of civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB. She was an avid volunteer with an organization near and dear to her heart, CHOICES, Inc. (Children Have Options In Caring Environments), which brings change to youth and families by providing personalized services and building safe environments. Linda's most cherished role was as devoted mother, and grandmother to her only daughter and grandson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Skip McGowan. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Rebecca Tingley; grandson, Mason Tingley; siblings, Essie Hudson, Richard McGowan (Arianne Lahana); as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family including Jay Tingley, and Debra Tingley.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday January 24, 2022 from 4:30 until 6:30 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. Immediately following will be a celebration of life toast and gathering at T.J. Chumps 1100 Dayton Yellow Spring Rd, Fairborn. All are welcome, food and beverages will be provided.
