Lois E. Tallent

Lois E. Tallent, age 87 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday May 30, 2023.  She was born April 13, 1936 in Wayne Co., West Virginia, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Roma (Dillon) Adkins. 

Lois was a longtime employee of Crestview Manor and she was a devoted Christian who loved her family.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tallent, Jr. in 2013; a son, Robert “Bobby” Tallent; granddaughter, Stephanie Hitchcock; and great-grandson, Duane Culbreath, II.  Survivors include four children, Nina Thompson of Huntington, WV, Norma Tallent of Beavercreek, Jeanne Hitchcock of Middletown, Charles (Kelly) Tallent, III of Fairborn; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Joseph, David, Michael, Charles IV, Nicole, Trina; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday June 2, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
