Mary L. Port, age 94 of Fairborn, passed away Friday September 27, 2019. She was born December 13, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell and Esther (McLain) McCaulla. Mary was a founding member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Fairborn and was active with the Ladies Guild. She retired from Wright State University after many years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; brother, Rev. James R. McCaulla; two sisters, Frances Hubley, Ruth Kinder; nephew, Milton Austin; great nephew, Michael McKinley; and daughter-in-law, Dianna Port. She is survived by three children, Charlie (Mary) Port of Texas, Bob Port of Virginia, Katie (Keith) Brummett of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren, Victor, Jennifer, Adam; three great-granddaughters; brother-in-law, Bryan (Phyllis) Ullery of Dayton, sister-in-law, Carolyn Mullins of Clyde, Ohio; as well as many extended family. A funeral service will be held on Monday September 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Gene Cline officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
