USAF (ret.) MSgt. Michael E. Ferguson, age 75 of Fairborn, passed away Friday May 28, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
Michael believed Jesus Christ was his Savior and friend actively serving in discipleship at Victory Church. He enjoyed vacations with family and friends, golf, gardening and outdoor activities. His greatest pride and joy was the life he built with Diane, his kids and grandkids. Anyone who met him knew there was no such thing as a stranger. He enjoyed striking up conversations with anyone who would listen.
He was born March 26, 1946 in Manistique, Michigan, the son of the late Floyd and Carman (Desautle) Ferguson. Michael served his country in Vietnam and followed by full careers in both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 41 years of combined service.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Quanita Ferguson. Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Diane; four sons, Marc (Krista), Matthew (Christina), Andrew (Mindy), Christopher; twelve grandchildren, Hannah, Gabe, Luke, Ben, Jaden, Malia, Owen, Lillian, Sophia, Samuel, Isaac, Dominic; two brothers, Daryell (Mary), Butch (Sally).
A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 1, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn; where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Derek Trenum officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at the Byron Cemetery.
