Michael W. Gibbs

Michael W. Gibbs, age 68 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday October 24, 2021 at the Soin Medical Center.  He was born August 2, 1953 in Ashland, KY, the son of the late Ezza Charles and Gertrude (Blair) Gibbs.  Michael was currently employed and approaching retirement from civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB.  An avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and off-roading.  

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie, Robert, and Jerry Gibbs; a sister, Teresa Stewart; and mother-in-law, Janice Richards.  Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Amanda; two children, Mike Gibbs, Jr. and wife Renee, Rebecca Chicoine and husband Brian; five brothers, Terry, Timmy, John, Charles, and Danny Gibbs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many friends.  

A funeral service will be held on Friday October 29, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Gates of Praise Church, 724 Kauffman Ave., Fairborn, Rev. Glen Henderson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
