Rex Carter

Rex Carter, age 83 of Fairborn passed away August 31, 2021.  He was born June 23, 1938 in Zag, Kentucky, the son of the late Willis and Inez (Lewis) Carter.  Rex was a very involved member at International Faith Church; he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and taking his golf cart in parades.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ivory, Henrietta, Opal, and Irene.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bessie, daughter, Tammy Minehart; two granddaughters, Sarah Minehart, Emily Minehart (Brian Broyles); four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Scarlett, Nora, Rosie; as well as many church friends and extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Friday September 3, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Elzie Moore officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service.  Burial will take place on September 9, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Cottle Cemetery in Zag, Kentucky.
