Russell Wanty Obituary

Russell E. Wanty, age 93 of Fairborn, passed away Monday August 24, 2020 at Trinity Community of Fairborn. He was born June 12, 1927 in Augusta Township, MI, the son of the late Theron and Myra (Sanderson) Wanty. Russell served his country in the US Army and then was self-employed as a farmer. More recently, he enjoyed being involved at Trinity Community of Fairborn where he resided. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda; brother, Kenneth Wanty; sister, Eleanor Mullikin; and his granddaughter’s husband, Joshua Allen. He is survived by two sons, Clifford Wanty (Sally Kauffman), Doug (Joyce) Wanty; three grandchildren, Kevin (Cathy) Wanty, Danica Allen, Derrek (Carla) Wanty; seven great-grandchildren, Kayla, Taylor, Jayden, Eden, Noelia, Eliana, Benjamin; as well as other extended family and friends. A private graveside service will be held by the family at Marble Park Cemetery in Milan, Michigan. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
