Sharon P. Hedrick

Sharon P. Hedrick, age 74 of Fairborn, passed away Thursday January 23, 2020 at the Hospice of Dayton.  She was born August 31, 1945 in Friendship, Ohio, the daughter of the late Saint Clair and Mabel (Schaffer) Markel.  Sharon had been employed at Wright-Patterson AFB; and she loved to cook and sew and play with her cats.  She was a devoted catholic and a member of Mary Help of Christians Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Markel.  Survivors include two children, Valorie Kaye (Randy) Snouffer of Fairborn, Shawn (Jenny) Hedrick of Fairborn; five grandchildren, Jason, Jesica, Kamarra, Dylan, Fayth; nine great-grandchildren; four siblings, Lynn Woods, Sheila Hughes, Saint Clair Markel, Jr., Toya Riggs; as well as nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.  A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday February 8, 2020 from 1:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the Faith Hill Church of God Fellowship Hall, 35 Vanderbilt Drive, Fairborn.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
