Tracey Thompson Obituary

Tracey Jayne Thompson, age 67, of Dayton, passed way Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born February 8, 1955 the daughter of Jack W. Thompson and Cynthia (Hamrick) Scarlett in Charleston, WV. 

In life Tracey worked as a dispatcher for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office. She was an active member of the Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fairborn, engaging in numerous parish activities over the years. In addition, she loved her cats, spending time with her family and close friends. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, along with doing yardwork and spending time and joking around with her stepfather. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Jack W. Thompson; brother, Russell Thompson; and stepfather, Eugene Scarlett. Tracey is survived by her mother, Cynthia Scarlett; special friends, Terri Dalton; and William Parrish; as well as extended family and close church friends. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Mary Help of Christian Church, 954 N. Maple Ave., Fairborn. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial to follow at the Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn.
