USAF (Ret.) Hubert "Bill" McKenzie

USAF MSgt. (ret.) Hubert “Bill” McKenzie, Jr., age 94 of Fairborn, passed away March 6, 2023 surrounded by his family.  He was born August 3, 1928 in Lafayette, Ohio, the son of the late Hubert  and Mary (Toole) McKenzie.  Bill served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an engineer and followed with employment with the U.S. Postal service, retiring after 41 years of combined service.  He was a longtime member of Abiding Christ Lutheran Church; a Boy Scout leader; and enjoyed planting his tomatoes.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Patrick; two brothers, Paul and Huey.  Bill is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, son, Mike (Rose) McKenzie; and grandson, Stephen McKenzie.  A memorial service with military honors will be held on Thursday March 16, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Abiding Christ Lutheran Church, 426 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Abiding Christ Lutheran Church in memory of Bill.
