Obituary

USN Chief Petty Officer (Ret.) David Steven Fuchs, Sr., age 71 of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away Friday January 6, 2023.  He was born December 15, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Sol and Ethel (Palter) Fuchs. 

David served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring at the rank of Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service.  He followed his active duty career with employment as a defense contractor, most recently at Wright-Patterson AFB.

Survivors include two children, Katherine Emily Powell (Randy) of Avenue, MD, USN CAPT (sel.) David Steven Fuchs, Jr. (Farrah) of California, MD; four grandchildren, David Steven Fuchs, III, Macie Katherine Fuchs, Eric Charles Fuchs, Brian Nicholas Fuchs; a sister, Susan Carroll (Edward) of Jackson, NJ; and a niece, Courtney Paul (John) of Cream Ridge, NJ; as well as other extended family and friends.

Burial with military honors will be held privately by the family at Arlington National Cemetery.
