Virginia Evelyn Fillback

Virginia “Polly” Fillback, age 96, of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020. She was born October 17, 1924 in Piedmint, Missouri, the daughter of the late Frank and Cassie (Smalley) Barfield. Along with her parents, Virginia is preceded in death her husband, Joseph H. Fillback and all her siblings.  She is survived by her son, Scott (Deborah) daughter, Lana Ashley; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Dooley, Roger Ashley, Jason Fillback, Nick Fillback, Kelly (Steve) VanGorder; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and extended family. Virginia was a member of the Maple Heights Baptist Church for many years. In her free time, she loved to crochet, knit, complete crossword puzzles, and watch jeopardy. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 10 to 11 AM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn. A service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Chris Tannreuther officiating. Burial will then follow at Byron Cemetery where Virginia will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
