William R. Carroll Jr., age 89 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022. William was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved watching baseball, traveling with family, woodworking, and was a jeopardy worthy history buff. In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Carroll; siblings, Marcella Cox; and Forrest Carroll. He is survived by his three sons, Lamont (Sandy) Carroll; John Carroll; Joseph (Janelle) Carroll; grandchildren, Jessica; Samuel (Brook); Zach; Daniel; Jacob; Elizabeth; and Joseph; many great-grandchildren; brother, Art Carroll; sister, Jannie Mae Marshall. A funeral service will be held on April 1, 2022 at 1:00 P.M at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. The family will receive family and friends from 12 o’clock, noon, until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Rd, Fairborn.
