Yvonne Joan Wilcox

Yvonne Joan Wilcox, age 88 of Beavercreek, passed away Thursday July 28, 2022, at Bethany Village in Centerville.  She was born May 12, 1934 in Sandy Hook, KY, the daughter of the late Bill and Nora (Duvall) Stamper.

Joan attended Fairborn Church of God.  She was employed in civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB and other government offices as an executive secretary and then at Federal Mogul, Inc. in administration until health issues prevented her from working any longer.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Marion Williams; a brother, Wiley Stamper; and a niece and her husband, Cathy (Stamper) and Kerry Kendig.  She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Susan Smith of Helena, MT; Linda Kay (Allen) Larson of Livonia, MI; and Lorri Charlotte Smith of Kettering, OH; two granddaughters, Karen Elizabeth Deibel and Nora Caitlin Davis; a brother, Ronald Stamper and wife Barbara; a sister-in-law Ethel Stamper; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday August 3, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 4, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Victory Church, 2443 Valle Greene Dr., Fairborn, Pastor Tim Winton officiating.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.  The family will hold a lunch reception following burial at the Victory Church Family Life Center.
